Daphnie Martin, PLPC, PLMFT, NCC
Denise works with individuals, couples, families, and children. She understands childhood is a foundational time for identity formation, emotional/behavioral development, and learning how to navigate relationships.
She believes that sometimes we need to revisit these parts of ourselves further on in life to heal and find authenticity. She encourages individuals to discover their strengths and express themselves in healthy ways.
Additonally, Denise values the parent/caregiver partnership, recognizing that a child's growth is strengthened when the important people in their lives feel supported as well.
Her approach to counseling is collaborative. Her work is grounded in Person-Centered theory and informed by a Family Systems perspective. She also utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Trauma-Informed interventions.
She is experienced in working with anxiety, family conflict, gender and sexuality formation, depression, trauma, grief, and diagnosis management. Denise believes it is a privilege to walk alongside clients as they discover their sense of Self and create meaningful, lasting change.
